Bucket teeth can be replaced, but they are usually not repaired.
Bucket teeth are important parts on excavators. They are similar to human teeth and are consumable parts. They are composed of tooth seats and tooth tips, which are connected by pins. Since the tooth tips are the worn and failed parts of the bucket teeth, usually only the tooth tips need to be replaced.
Prepare tools: hydraulic jack, rubber hammer, wrench, etc.
Stop working: Stop the excavator and separate the bucket teeth from the bucket tooth seat.
Replacement of inner bucket teeth: Use a jack to press the bucket tooth seat into the bucket, then use a rubber hammer to knock down the inner bucket teeth, and use a wrench to remove the replaced bucket teeth.
Replacement of outer bucket teeth: Use a jack to clamp the bucket tooth seat to the outside of the bucket, then use a rubber hammer to knock down the outer bucket teeth, and use a wrench to remove the replaced bucket teeth.
Install new bucket teeth: Install the new bucket teeth into the bucket tooth seat, and then assemble the bucket teeth and bucket tooth seat together.
Choose high-quality bucket teeth: Choose bucket teeth of suitable materials and models to extend their service life and improve work efficiency.
Pay attention to the installation direction: The installation direction is usually marked on the bucket teeth. If the installation direction is incorrect, the working efficiency of the bucket teeth will be reduced.
Check for looseness: After the bucket teeth are installed, they need to be checked with a wrench to avoid damage caused by looseness and affect work efficiency.
Regular inspection: Regularly check whether the bucket teeth are worn, and replace them in time if they need to be replaced to ensure the normal use of the excavator at work.
Through the above methods, the excavator bucket teeth can be effectively replaced, the service life of the excavator can be extended, and the work quality can be guaranteed.
